Hello Everyone,
I am very excited to be the first to get the update emails rolling! Times are crazy around here because it seems as though all of our countdowns...to Christmas break, our Peru Trip, and Israel ...are getting so close! Our team has great time home over the holidays to rest up for departure on Jan. 3rd!
It has been wonderful to sit back and watch the Lord provide the support for our trip, and we are so thankful that you have decided to join our team as we prepare and travel. You should have gotten your prayer packet in the mail, and if not now, it will be there soon. Our trip can really come to life for you as you SEE where we are going and PICTURE what we will be doing. It is so neat to pray for Peruvian volunteers, safety, team unity etc. and at the same time know that so many of you are lifting that same prayers up to the Lord!
In preparation for Israel , we have begun a study from Ariel Ministries and it has brought so much to my attention that I have never even thought of. We also continue to watch videos over different areas that we will be traveling to that will allow us to picture what exactly happened there so long ago!
In all of this, it is very evident that the Lord is with us and working through us. He has provided so much for our team and will continue to do all things for His glory. May you be able to taste and see that the Lord is good today!

The Timothy Team along with Keith and Drew Eubanks just left for the airport. We had our traditional send off here at camp where the entire staff circles up with the team and prays for their journey. What a privilege it is for us back here to pray for God to lead their steps!
Denae (a Timothy Team member) wrote a brief message late last night while preparing to leave.
This is really the first time I've sat down since I returned to camp from the Christmas break at 3pm this afternoon. We have been going crazy getting ready for tomorrow. We've checked 20 tents for problems (we must be prepared to take the 17 Peruvian volunteers plus translators when we go to the jungle). We've tried to get caught up with all the supporters who have joined in during our holiday absence. And now picture this ... 4 shopping carts filled to the brim with food and supplies with a cashier who started working the day before Christmas ... poor girl ... this is what I call the largest last minute shopping run you've ever seen!
Since we just got back from the holiday break, we are also trying to get caught up with each other, finding out what everyone got for Christmas and where they went for New Years. We are all getting very excited about the trip, but we expect a late night of packing and preparations.
It is so hard to believe that it's already time to leave, seems like just the other day we found out where we were headed. God has done some amazing things through you our supporters while we've been away for the holidays. Thank you so much for responding to God's call for you to join our team. We were all very surprised on returning that we were so close to reaching our financial goal! THANK YOU!!!! You have been great so far, but we ask for you to hang on just a little while longer, we covet your prayers as we head out in the morning.
Looking forward to hearing more thoughts from the team as they head to Iquitos. Please let me know if you have any questions. My name is Alice Myer (Keith's wife) and I can be reached on my cell at 830-481-7073 if you have any emergencies.
God bless,
Alice :-)
Hello family and friends of the Peru Mission Team!
I recieved a text message from Keith. It was a short message letting us all know that the team is safe in Iquitos and enjoying some local cuisine. They met this afternoon with the local missionaries to begin planning the camp. All is well and everyone is doing great.
That's all for now. Thanks for your prayers.
Alice :-)
Hello family and friends of the Peru Mission Team!
I received an email from Michelle (Timothy Teamer) after I sent yesterday's message. This is what she had to say on Friday night ...
Hello from Iquitos, Peru!!
We made it safely to Iquitos around 7:00 this morning! After some much needed rest from our LONG flight this morning, we were able to visit Camp Amazon. We were able to see first hand for ourselves where we are going to be training for the next few days. We're very excited because we have gotten word that we are going to have 25-26 people come for training instead of the 17 we had been planning for. Tonight we went downtown and ate some AMAZING food at a local restaurant called Kikiriki. We gorged ourselves on chicken, papas fritas, fried rice, and Inca Cola!!! We are looking forward to a good nights rest tonight so that we can be fully energized tomorrow!! Thanks for your continual prayers! We will update as we can.
Love,
The Tim Team
Tonight (Saturday) I received a text from Keith. He said that they had a good start to training and looking forward to a good night's rest because everyone worked really hard.
So that's it for now! I'll hopefully have a little more news tomorrow. Thanks for your prayers!

Hello family and friends of the Peru Mission Team,
Recieved an email from the team. Sounds like training went well at Camp Amazon!
Buenos noches from Iquitos! We have just gotten back to the mission house from staying two days at camp. Things went wonderfully! We had about ten more Peruvians there to be trained than expected, so that was wonderful. In the beginning, we split up everyone into three teams.... the crocodiles, mosquitos, and paranas and during the different competitions their cheers could be heard a mile away! We played many games, elbow tag and capture the flag seemed to be there favorites. This training was definitly helpful to the volunteers and showed them even the simple things like saying "God is Good.. All the Time" to get everyones attention.
We are amazed at how quickly the campsite turned into T BAR M! It is absolutely beautiful in every inch of the property. These last couple of days also were filled with dips in the river, suspicious runny oatmeal, cooler than expected weather (God held off the rain until the last game was played!), amazing praise and worship from the Peruvians, and so many funny stories! Thanks for your prayers as we head out to the jungle tomorrow morning. This trip has been so incredible, and we can only imagine what the Lord has in store for the second half. God is Good!

It's off to the jungle for the team tomorrow. They will be taking some of the new trained staff to test their new found skills in a small village up the Amazon. Not sure if I will hear from them for the next few days. But as I always say ... no news is good news!
God bless,
Alice :-)
Hello family and friends of the Peru Mission Team,
Got a surprise phone call from Keith this afternoon. The team had just arrived in Iquitos from the jungle and was heading out to get some pizza! The phone call was short ... just wanted to let everyone know that the team was well and doing a great job (and to say Happy Anniversay to me ... his wife of 21 years today!).
I guess the stories will have to wait a little longer. Tomorrow will be a day of good-byes, packing and travel to the airport to start their long journey home.
Thanks for all the prayers. I look forward to hearing the amazing stories God is writing in the hearts of all the members on the Peru Mission Team!
God bless,
Alice :-)
Hello family and friends of the Peru Mission Team,
Just got an email from the Team. Enjoy the stories!
What a great few days in the jungle ... it was amazing!!! The moment we pulled up to the shore there were village kids to greet us, we were fast friends. Two of the little girls captured my heart and I eventually called my own, Ruth and Milagros. The day we left they ran to hug my neck. Talk about joy!! The camp for the kids during the second day in this village was better than we could have ever expected. Our friends from Iquitos did an excellent job running the camp. They were filled with energy throughout the entire day even and it was SCORTCHING out in the sun. But the joy of Christ was written on their faces as they shared games, songs, and a bible story with the kids. The kids loved it. It was also great to see the parents peeking out of their huts to see what was going on and why there was so much noise. To hear the kids yelling Dios es bueno, Todo el Tiempo was indescribable. -Denae
Canta Gallo, the village we visited, has become one of my favorite places. After we arrived, we broke up into groups to go into the jungle and evangelize to the locals hut to hut. We had children as our guides and the shade of the jungle was definitely refreshing. Out of all of our groups there are great stories ranging from praying for a lady who had been bit by a snake, families accepting Christ, and others recommitment . It is intimidating for most to go out and share with boldness, but we took advice and action from the wonderful people of Iquitos who walk with more joy, purpose and boldness than I have ever seen. Both nights we were able to show films and share testimonies to over one-hundred locals. The response was wonderful. It's amazing what a simple generator and technology can do! The second night we showed the Narnia film and two people entered the kingdom of heaven!!! Wow! The pastor of the village had a vision that sheep were coming to the village on ships, and he said that was what we were doing. How amazing! Gotta go. See everyone real soon. Amy and the timothy team
The team will be arriving in Austin tomorrow at 9:30am. You are welcome to call me on my cell if you would like more details! 830-481-7073
